NextScout ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our platform at nextscout.app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Account registration data: name, email address, password
• Player profile data: date of birth, nationality, country of residence, height, weight, playing position, dominant foot, club history, biography
• Media: profile photos and highlight video clips
• Performance statistics: goals, assists, matches played
• Club/organization data: club name, country, type, website, description
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe, we do not store card details)
• Communications with our support team

We also collect information automatically:

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent
• Device information: device type, operating system
• Usage data: search queries, profile views, clicks
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display your player profile to clubs, scouts and universities registered on the platform
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts, plan expiry reminders)
• Provide customer support
• Improve our platform and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

Your player profile (name, position, stats, nationality, videos and other profile data) is visible to registered clubs, scouts, professionals (coaches, physios, analysts, agents and similar) and partner sporting organizations on the NextScout platform. This is the core function of the service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with:

• Clubs, scouts and professionals subscribed to the platform: to enable them to discover and contact players, and to collaborate with each other
• Partner sporting organizations: academies, federations or university programs we work with to expand opportunities for players
• Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting)
• Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets

4. Data of Minors

NextScout is designed for players aged 14–21. Users under the age of 18 must obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before registering:

• At registration, the parent or legal guardian provides their full name and confirms, via a checkbox, that they authorize the minor's use of NextScout and accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service on the minor's behalf. This acceptance is logged with a timestamp and policy version.
• Right after the account is confirmed, we require a photo of the guardian's ID document as proof of that authorization. This document is stored in a private, access-restricted location and is never shown publicly.
• Until this verification is completed, the minor's profile is hidden from clubs, scouts and professionals, it is not searchable and cannot be contacted.
• The parent or guardian may revoke this authorization at any time by writing to hello@nextscout.app, which will deactivate the minor's profile.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We may retain certain information for legal, accounting or audit purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access your data
• Right to correct inaccurate data
• Right to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restrict or object to processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to withdraw consent at any time

7. Cookies

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and remember your cookie choice. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of what's stored and why.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level security in our database, and restricted access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. International Transfers

NextScout operates globally. Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers in accordance with applicable law.

10. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Data Controller & Contact

The data controller responsible for the processing described in this Policy is Delta International Consultancy LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, operating the NextScout platform.
