Player profile data: date of birth, nationality, country of residence, height, weight, playing position, dominant foot, club history, biography
Media: profile photos and highlight video clips
Performance statistics: goals, assists, matches played
Club/organization data: club name, country, type, website, description
Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)
Communications with our support team

We also collect information automatically:

Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent
Device information: device type, operating system
Usage data: search queries, profile views, clicks
Cookies and similar tracking technologies

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account
Display your player profile to clubs, scouts and universities registered on the platform
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts, plan expiry reminders)
Provide customer support
Improve our platform and develop new features
Comply with legal obligations
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

Your player profile (name, position, stats, nationality, videos and other profile data) is visible to registered clubs, scouts and organizations on the NextScout platform. This is the core function of the service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with:

Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting)
Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights
Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets

4. Data of Minors

NextScout is designed for players aged 14–21. Users under the age of 18 must obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before registering. By registering a player under 18, the parent or guardian confirms they have reviewed and accepted this Privacy Policy on the minor's behalf.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We may retain certain information for legal, accounting or audit purposes.
