Verification Policy

NextScout uses two separate marks to signal trust on the platform: the Verified badge and the QR certificate. This page explains exactly what each one means, what our team actually checks, and, just as important, what neither of them guarantees.

1. The Verified badge

Any professional (coach, physiotherapist, analyst, nutritionist, agent, etc.) can submit their credentials from their dashboard's "Get Verified" tab: a degree, coaching license, professional college registration number, or similar proof of qualification.

What we check

Our team reviews the submitted document and confirms it matches a real, checkable qualification for the category claimed (medical, technical/coaching, sports performance, or career trajectory). If it checks out, the professional's profile carries a ✓ Verified mark visible to players and clubs wherever their profile appears.

If a request is rejected, the professional is told why and can resubmit with updated documents at any time.

2. The QR certificate

Separately, our team can issue a formal certificate with its own unique QR code, used for things like a medical clearance, a technical staff report, or a documented career trajectory. Anyone can scan the QR (no NextScout account needed) and land on a public page confirming:

Whether the certificate is currently valid, expired, or revoked
The certificate type and who it was issued to
A downloadable PDF with the supporting documents behind it, when provided

Certificates are issued directly by NextScout's own team, not self-submitted, this is the higher bar of the two marks, typically used when a club or organization needs a checkable, shareable proof rather than just a profile badge.

3. What this does not mean

A Verified badge or a QR certificate means our team checked the specific document submitted at the time it was submitted. It does not mean:

That NextScout guarantees the professional's future conduct, the quality of a specific service, or any outcome
That NextScout is a party to, or liable for, any agreement made between a verified professional and a club, player, or other user
That a professional without either mark is unqualified, it only means they haven't gone through our review yet

Any user, professional, or piece of content on the platform without a Verified badge or a valid QR certificate has not been evaluated or supervised by NextScout, and we assume no responsibility for it. This is also stated in our Terms of Service.

4. Player and club ratings

As an additional signal alongside these two marks, players will be able to leave ratings on professionals they've worked with. Ratings reflect individual experiences, not a NextScout assessment.

5. Revocation

We can revoke a Verified badge or a certificate at any time if we later find the underlying documents were false, expired, or misused. A revoked certificate immediately shows as invalid on its public verification page.
