A verification badge is only worth something if it means someone actually checked. Plenty of platforms hand out green checkmarks for filling in a form. We wanted ours to mean something more specific, so we built it around one rule: our team reviews the actual document before anyone gets the mark.
Any professional, coach, physiotherapist, analyst, nutritionist, agent, can submit their credentials from their dashboard: a degree, a coaching license, a professional registration number, whatever proves the qualification they're claiming. Our team reviews it and confirms it holds up before the profile carries a Verified mark.
Separately, we can issue a formal certificate with its own QR code for things like a medical clearance or a documented career trajectory, used when someone needs a checkable, shareable proof rather than just a badge on a profile. Anyone can scan it, no account required, and see whether it's currently valid.
This is the part worth being precise about. Verification means we checked a specific document at a specific point in time. It does not mean:
Anyone on the platform without a Verified badge or a valid certificate hasn't been evaluated by us, and we're upfront about that rather than letting the badge do more work than it should.
The alternative, no verification at all, or verification that's really just a signup checkbox, pushes all the risk onto the person trying to figure out who to trust. We'd rather do the review once, properly, than make every player and club re-verify every professional on their own.
